Completely useless. Operates entirely on a hypothetical mile range. App says I have 17 mile range, I go 5mph on a completely flat road for 2 minutes, suddenly down to 13 mile range. Guard mode only works within 3 feet of the scooter. Don't trust it, buy a brake lock. The only value in the app is being able to see your battery percentage, because for some reason it is never displayed on the actual scooter. You'll have to experiment on your own to find your actual mile range.

Trying to force me to use the new firmware. Absolutely not, they don't let you roll back. The dashboard was cool, but this is unacceptable. Luckily you can reload the app for 10 seconds to avoid the forced firmware "upgrade" notice. You can bet your bottom dollar I'll uninstall once they figure this out.

The lock screen interface doesn't follow language settings and is in Chinese, which sucks and is the main reason for 3 stars. It also interferes with music players on the lock screen. Otherwise it works well and does what you need it to easily, including locking, changing some settings of the scooter, trip tracking/mileage, stats on the scooter and battery, firmware updates, and a segway-only social platform that can be fun if you want to ride with other people and maybe make some friends.

Great basic app for managing my scooter. The app works well. It does what I need it to do. It is a great help to fine tune the settings so that I can get the most out of my ride. I took away a star for the following very minor quibbles. Sometimes it takes a bit to connect to Bluetooth. The interface is a bit cumbersome. There's no way to remove the beginners tasks.

Many reviewers are saying they cannot tap "next" to register. You need to tap "I agree" box at the bottom left. The verification code and registration process was clunky. I didn't get the code the first time? The app is also not fully translated in English. I see Chinese in my notifications and some screens. There are two settings screens. One for the scooter and another for user. To change mph/kph, it's under user settings.

This is the dashboard for your ninebot. Chinese app asks for access to your contacts, says this is the only way it can use the Bluetooth but I don't find any evidence for that on the internet. I used it to set a Password, perhaps if you don't someone else could connect and change to beginner mode while you're riding? Connecting takes a lot of tries, sometimes asks for the password and permissions again, apparently doesn't remember. Not useful while riding, but need it to check the odometer.

Well, right out of the box this has been an exercise in frustration. The app refuses to pair with the ninebot. It finds it, I click on it, it then tells me to pair it with Bluetooth and gives me a paragraph in Chinese which isn't terribly helpful to me. clicking on the checkmark does nothing. Going to the Bluetooth settings and trying to pair it that way ask me for a pin code. Which is not supplied and I can't find anywhere. None of the default choices that one might expect work. Junk.

Like for many others, this app is virtually worthless. The map shows where I am when I start and where I am as I move, but once finished riding, the app tells me that I drove in a straight line from start to finish. Yes, you can use the app to electronically lock your device, but it is too easy to steal and then figure out later. You still have to invest in a chain lock either way, which will be a much greater deterrent.
