I used to love Roadtrippers. Planned some of my best trips with it's help. Went to download it again for another trip coming up and it's completely changed. The awesome feature of being able to explore the area around you is now useless. They try to plan it for you and it isn't at all what you would want. AI can be a great companion, unfortunately for Roadtrippers, it ruined a really great thing. So disappointed.

I love the content on my premium subscription, but I really wish that the offline maps could be stored on an SD card or other external storage. They take up too much room on internal storage even for a 500 mile trip. FYI-- got a deal on my subscription by having the Capitol One Shopping plugin on by pc browser. You don't need a Capitol One account to use it.

Experience is okay. Used it on a 4400 mile Route. It had enough useful features to keep me going back to it, but an equal number of frustrating deficiencies. The basemaps are terrible and search engine barely works. For the premium cost, they should be able to license Google maps or similar. Found myself finding waypoints using other mapping softwares and then trying to search for it in RT. Toggling between waypoint list and maps resets you to the top the list 🙄

I planned countless trips and recommended it for 3 years. But these guys suck! I am leaving for a road trip I planned out a month ago. My auto renewal for the subscription was 35.99 ($5 dollar increase) and charged for the year 4 days before our trip. Turns out that they created new tiered subscriptions I was automatically put into Basic. This locked me out of all my trips. No I am on my way to start our trip and I am forced to decide to lose my whole trip plan or upgrade for an additional $50.

Not really worth the money. I can make a better trip using Google Maps. They've also recently changed the subscription without informing customers. Originally the premium plan was $35/year with unlimited trips. I logged in today and noticed I was a 'basic member' with a max of 3 trips. Upon further investigation, they have changed the plans without notice. The premium plan I was on is now a basic plan with a max of 3 trips. Premium is now $49/yr with unlimited trips.

App should open with the map by default. Start a trip option crashes all the time. Browsing the map is kinda cool but crashes a lot too. Even when it doesn't crash you have to plug in the filters each time you start a search. Trailer length, price etc. No way to save your search parameters that I've been able to figure out. The campendium feature is nice but it needs a price filter so you can set a minimum and maximum camp fee.

This app was great and worth the subscription price of $36 last year when I used it to plan a cross country road trip, but now most functions are removed from "basic" plan. So now you either have to pay $50 or $60 dollars for access to most/all of the app. I don't think so. It's not worth it to pay so much to plan one trip a year.. I feel like I just got robbed after that $36 auto renew.

Roadtrippers killed the great and intuitive campendium and the roadtrippers app is the opposite of intuitive. I've tired to like roadtrippers but as someone who travels cross country and just wings it, finding camp spots through this app is good if you know what your looking for. If you want to just browse and discover like campendium. Goodluck!
