I can't access my in-app full check-in and boarding pass without adding credit card information? Obviously I'm not going to "Stop flying United" because of this, but really, it's an exceedingly poor business practice to require saved payment info for me to access the flight info I've already paid for. Make the path to the check-in and boarding pass - without a saved credit card option - clearer. It's good business.

NEED CREDIT CARD ON FILE TO EVEN GET BOARDING PASS. I had a nightmarish time getting my boarding pass because I couldn't continue as guest because I needed a card on file but when I tried to create an account I found i already had one, tried a password, wrong password, reset password, new password can't be same as old password. I almost ripped my hair out. fix this app please, don't require credit card "in case plans change".

Did NOT want to download this app just to see my boarding pass. The "send boarding pass link via text" and "send via email" features were both broken after checking in online - so I was forced to download this. Isn't it convenient that the only way to get my boarding pass was to download this? Why couldn't I see the boarding pass when I finished my online check-in, to just screenshot it right then and there? Immediately uninstalled this poopoo as soon as I reached my destination airport. Useless

I don't feel it was an easy check in using the app we used to be able to just check in without the app but it kept asking me for a credit card in case my personal bag was not the right size I checked my bag with a tape measure at least three times. this is not my first time traveling I know the rules I shouldn't have to enter credit card, address all that other stuff that I've already included when I made my reservation. will be deleting this app once the trip is over.

Have always liked the app. Last year or so... crashes ALOT!! Stops. Takes back to home screen. Tap app. Closes. Today... I checked in. Moved my seat. Went to connecting flight. Can't move it without paying. Never had that before. I moved it on first leg. No fee. I am not trying to do the return flights. That couple days away. Just doing the connecting flight. Getting very aggravated and disappointed with this app. And yes I am gold/silver, so I don't have to pay when in the 24 hr.

Update: Nothing had changed! "This app used to be functional, but has become close to unnavigable. Access to common features are buried one or two menus away or are simply not discoverable. Boarding pass is way too hard to find. Flight mgt menus are overwhelmed with United ads. I need an app that's easy to use, and this ain't it. "

Works pretty well, but trying to scan a passport is impossible; it glitches and freezes every single time. Meanwhile, the Lufthansa app scans passport and imports and clears for boarding pass flawlessly. United needs to get their s.... together. Lufthansa is a partner airline and their app works better so guess which one I'd rather fly for international?

There are so many good things about this app. But today when I checked in for my flight, the app REQUIRED me to add a credit card, even though I was not checking a bag and didn't intend to purchase anything on the flight. It required the card "just in case" my personal item didn't fit under the seat. If it doesn't fit, I'll be responsible for that. But not cool to require my credit card info.
