Pretty disappointed. Legacy Blynk was great - had a ton of widgets, and was intuitive to use. Now even with payment, they lack many widgets from the old version. I used and paid for old Blynk for its ease of use & feature set, but now I'm better off putting in the time to develop full custom solutions since they've removed everything that made it good & easy to use.

The Blynk 2.0 system takes some time to migrate from the Blynk Legacy system. Once I transfered my project and got more familiar with the Blynk Console, I actually like the new system. In particular the WiFi provisioning system is a major upgrade. My disappointment lies in the new pricing system. The legacy system was perfect for DIYers, like myself, for small home projects where you are only using a couple of devices. Additional widgets could be purchased with energy, which I invested a fair amount in. In Blynk 2.0 the widgets are extremely limited and my previous projects and layouts will not work without upgrading to one of the pricing plans. I am not trying to commercialize my projects, so joining a subscription doesn't make sense. I recognize the hard work that the Blynk Developers have put into this ecosystem and would be happy to "pay my dues" for that work. However, I would like to see something where I could purchase all the widgets perpetually for a one time fee.

Getting Rubbish with each update. when you try enter your IoT interface to control things, every once in a while a upgrade pro promotion pop-up shows up. Well I understand you need to promote yourself. But the problem is there is a cross ❌ icon to remove the pop up and go back to your IoT interface. But with last several updates that cross ❌ icon has become useless. it does not remove the pop-up and it repeat itself to the same pop-up again and again. Which is really disappointing.

When I had the previous version of Blynk I spent a few dollars on energy which is now worthless. I think at least they could make the amounts spent on energy available in subscription discounts. Even so, I won't pay as it's a non-commercial learning project. The widgets available on the free plan are VERY limited. It doesn't make sense to me. I'm going to look for another more complete platform that serves me free of charge for small projects.

Absolutely unacceptable change. I used the (now legacy) app to controll a few basic projects for about 2 years now, I PURCHASED more "energy" so I could do what I wanted. Now? All that energy is deprecated and the only way to continue moving forwards (after Dec, 2022) is a subscription? Don't let them get away with this. Don't use this app.

Planning to subscribe to a maker plan only to find out the lowcost plan was removed, didn't even got notified regarding the message limit, I thought there's something with my project, turns out, the app limit the number for input parameters. The only option is pro which is way to expensive for hobbyist.

Finally.. automation Hit the spot.. though i think theres something mising on that part.. perhaps adding timer? I did not try it yet but i think it be best if timer added on it like when it turn off motor. For Auth token i wish to control the esp8266 16relay with another esp32 for control. Its farther its burdens me to use wire since theres wifi available. Is there perhaps another token for sub token.🤭 I think its much better to control them as one. So that it wont bothersome..
