UTS on mobile app is an Indian Railways official android mobile ticketing app to book unreserved train tickets.Who can use utsonmobile application?
The service is not available to a person under the age of Seventeen or previously suspended or removed from the services by Indian Railway.
By accepting the Terms & Conditions or by otherwise using the Service or the website, it would be deemed that the concerned person is at least Seventeen years of age and have not been previously suspended or removed from the Services by Indian Railway. The Person represents and warrants that he has the right, authority, and capacity to enter into this Agreement and to abide by all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. The person shall not impersonate any other person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent identity, age or affiliation with any other person or entity.
Pre-requisites to avail the utsonmobile app service:
Presently, utsonmobile app is available in Android, Windows & iOS versions.
The Smartphone should have good GPRS connectivity.
In order to avail paperless mode of tickets, the Smartphone should be GPS enabled.
Registration Process:
User Registration for availing the above services can be done through the utsonmobile app or the website (https://www.utsonmobile.indianrail.gov.in).
The passenger needs to provide information like Mobile Number, Name, Password, Gender, Date of Birth for the one time registration process.
The mobile application would send an OTP to the mobile number specified against the USER ID field to ensure the validity of the mobile number. After successful registration, an SMS will be sent informing the user about the successful registration. A zero-balance R-Wallet account would be activated.
Login Process:
After the registration, the passenger needs to enter the credentials in the login page for entering into the utsonmobile app.

Paper Ticket with booking amount greater then cancellation charges can be cancelled using utsonmobile app before printing of ticket. Cancellation of Paperless Ticket is not allowed.

6. Show Booked Ticket:
Using 'show ticket' feature the ticket can be showed to the TTE(Travelling Ticket Examiner) or TC. Off-line mode is also available to show the paperless ticket if Internet connection not available in the mobile.
Note:-
Paperless ticket booking(Book and Travel) is not allowed inside train or within station premises to avoid ticket booking just by seeing TTE(Travelling Ticket Examiner) or TC.
For booking of paperless ticket user should be away from Station premises/Railway track.
For Paper Ticket(Book and Print) mode of booking, It is mandatory to take printout of the ticket from ATVM/CoTVM kiosks or General Booking counters at station before boarding the Train.

They have tendency to make it complex to the point of unusable. Great job done to make a good app worthless to normal people. Can't book unless I'm 10m within the station or take a prinout, why bother with the app if I have to be at the station itself. Earlier I was able to book at home and get in the train. Now it doesn't let me book in anyway. All popups of error.

The UTS app’s 1-hour ticket validity is completely impractical for long-distance travel. My journeys often take over 2 hours, but the ticket expires well before I reach my destination. There's no flexibility to extend the validity, and no clear instructions on what to do if the ticket expires mid-journey. This makes traveling inconvenient and stressful. The validity period needs to be revised to better serve long-distance commuters. I cannot recommend the app for such trips.

UTS app is very much useful to book unreserved tickets for the local trains. It saves our time in waiting in a long queue in the rush hours with palpitation raised. It makes our train travel easier, smoother and tension free. In just a few seconds, the tickets can be booked and straight away you can board the train. Recently, booking tickets from within the station is also added. That's all the more a useful facility. Thanks to UTS app.

Ticket booking must be allowed from everywhere irrespective of current location based on station. It's very much easier to book ticket from convenient places. It's difficult for any one to book ticket in the middle of a journey. That person may be riding a bike or travelling in a bus. It's impossible for that person to book ticket. Look into the matter. Otherwise the app is very very helpful and user friendly.

Hello UTS Team, I had a good experience with my first booking in October, but when I tried to book a seasonal ticket in November, the payment was successfully deducted from my bank account. The UTS app shows the payment with a green tick, but for the past week, I haven’t been able to access my show ticket. It keeps showing "No Transaction" when I try to open it. Very frustrating!

I've been experiencing technical issues with the UTS app lately. Previously, it functioned smoothly, but now I'm facing problems with ticket booking and mobile recharges. Specifically:When booking tickets, the amount is being debited, but the booking is not confirmed. The amount is then credited back after 2-3 days.For UTS wallet recharges ,the amount is being debited, but the recharge is not reflecting, showing a balance of zero. I hope you look this flaws and resolves it soon

I had a good experince with my first booking in november, but when I tried to book a swasonal ticket in december, the payment was successfuly deducted from my bank account. The UTS app shows the payment with green ticks, but for the past day, I haven't been able to access my show ticket. Its keeps showing " No transaction" when I try to open it. And also not get any refund my amount 410/- which was deducted. Very frustrating!
