御三年合戦を朝廷から私戦扱いされ恩賞を得られなかった源義家が私財を部下たちに分け与えたことが武士たちの信頼と源氏の名声を高め、後の源頼朝による鎌倉幕府創建のきっかけとなったと言われています。この戦で生き残った藤原清衡は平泉に移り住み、平泉黄金文化の源流となりました。
日本の歴史に大きな変化を与えた金沢地区の史跡を巡り、歴史に思いを馳せましょう。
