Permissions Requested
• Network Access: We use network access to communicate with our servers for just about everything in the app including uploading photos, videos, comments, etc.
• Location: We use location when you choose to post where you are on your trip, but we won't use your location otherwise.
• Contacts: We show contacts you can invite to when building a trip, and we only send invitations to people you choose to follow along. Your contacts will not be uploaded to our server.
• Write External Storage: We use this permission if you choose to download photos from other members of your trip.

Updated review: the recent update (in the last few days) is a wreck. It has a nicer look but functionality is much worse: 1) crops uploaded photos (vertical became horizontal), 2) heart button slow to respond 3) download doesn't work 4) clicking on a image no longer makes it full screen. Probably more... Old review: Awesome app! Been using it with it family and close friends for years. So much better than Facebook!

I really liked the concept and with bug fixes and updates, it will be a viable platform. I liked that the postings are available to anyone who is invited and whom downloads the app. Many of the pictures I tried to upload did not upload. I noticed pictures were not uploading under the 4MB limit. When you type text you can not see the finished text to edit before uploading since it presents in a single text line, no wrap around. Mistake? You can't edit posted updates.

This is my first time trying this app for travels. It's okay, but pretty buggy, especially the ios app, and I wish there was more control over the ability to re-arrange the order of things or edit/add captions after upload. E.g. I uploaded some pics with out adding captions. I found if I'm the first to add a comment, that becomes a caption, but not if someone else commented first. Little things like that I feel need to be addressed.

I've had this app for years and it used to work well. Unfortunately it just has too many glitches and no amount of letting customer service has accomplished anything. Main issues include: * Not being able to share photos from other apps (it used to be possible and still shows as such, but doesn't function) * Not being able to access all photos on device from the tripcast app itself * Maps not working for non-iphone phones It's a shame, but I think I'll be replacing it moving forward.

I love the idea of this app. I've been using it since 2018 for all of my trips. They need a serious upgrade and bug fixes. Uploading photos doesn't work half the time, and many other issues. I think the concept is great and love to have friends follow along. I will be looking for a new app. I am tired of all of the bugs. Samsung/Android user.

On Android v12, could upload only 14 photos and that had to be 1 at a time. Now app does nothing when I upload photos. It flashes message "finishing up" but photos do not appear in album. UPDATE: Continue to have bugs woth this app. Profile pics do not display. Such a shame this app isn't coded well.

Fundamentally flawed. I've used this app for 2 weeks while travelling or at least attempted to. You can't create posts offline. Which makes the app useless unless you are hotel hopping. If you are traveling to remote locations you can't post while you are there. Given how easy it is to implement caching in an app this is serious omission. Addd to that Location posts do not workb at all, they crash the app. Good concept, poorly executed.

Unfortunately the location feature simply crashes the app every time I either press location or try to open the map. My wife's apple phone seems to work okay, but on Android it just seems to keep crashing. A real shame as I'd really wanted to use and enjoy this app.
