WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS APP:
• No paper fares to track.
• Purchase BaltimoreLink Local Service, MARC Train, and Commuter Bus tickets all from one app.
• No need to carry cash, count exact change, or find a ticket machine.
• Buy and use fares instantly using a debit/credit card or your PayPal account.
• Pay a single fare or multiple fares for a group of riders.

HOW IT WORKS:
1. CHOOSE SERVICE
2. CHOOSE FARE
3. SELECT TICKET TYPE
4. CHOOSE QUANTITY
5. CHECK OUT

COMMON QUESTIONS:
Q: Do I need to be connected to the Internet?
A: Cellular network or a wireless Internet connection is required to purchase tickets, but you can activate your pre-purchased tickets offline.

Q: What if my battery dies?
A: Just like with paper tickets, you're responsible for making sure you have a valid fare at all times, so be sure to plan ahead!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
• Don't uninstall the CharmPass app or erase your phone while you have active tickets on it. Your tickets are stored on your phone (which makes it possible to use them without a cellular network or a wireless Internet connection), so uninstalling the app can permanently erase your tickets!
• Purchase your ticket anytime and activate your fare as you’re boarding.
• Show your ticket to the operator of the vehicle.
• Watch your battery level! Just like with paper tickets, you're responsible for making sure you have a valid fare at all times.

THE BROTHA DERRICK SHOW:

The app is convenient, but most drivers are not familiar with the daily codes. Also the app needs to be updated for android 13. I have 2 samsungs and the ships and bus dont move. I have to carry a 3rd phone (an old Samsung Galaxy S8) where the ship, and train does move. It's very inconvenient, but other than those 2 issues. The app is very good. Please update the app for android 13,and its perfect.

One-way tickets expire shortly after you activate them. This was not made clear to me when I purchased the ticket. Terrible app, terrible system. I'll be disputing the expired ticket charge with my credit card company. As far as I'm concerned, this system is predatory towards those inexperienced with it and verging on intentional fraud with how vague and uninformative they are. Nowhere was I told my ticket would expire within an hour and a half after activation...until I had activated it.

Wonderfully easy to navigate & use. After you buy your first tickets, each subsequent time you open the app, it opens to the "Buy Tickets" page and the "Buy Again" feature, which is almost always why you you need to go there in the first place. Very handy. Also very easy to check your account settings and history.

I love this app but, recently it began to give me trouble. it takes too long to open then, when it does it forces close and says try again. Its really an inconvience an embarrassing. Metro drivers think Im playing games. I brought a 7 day pass so i could get to work through out the week. And I only use the pass 1 day so far, its going on thursday and the app still isnt available. im updating it now to see if that will help. please fix this problem. currently trying to re install its not working

Surprisingly good app. Only deficiency is not being able to add multiple "Buy another" tickets to a cart. User story Given I'm a rider who has takeb a round trip ride (one ticket in either direction to and from a location) When I want to do the same trip again Then I expect to be able to re-purchase two tickets in the same transaction without having to select the origin and destination again for one of them (the "Add another ticket" button should present a unique list of previous purchases)

This system is horrible. I have a charm card and it is a complete nuisance to buy passes for it. The app and cards are not compatible with each other and all the mta machines are cash only. But yet they tell you to get the app to load passes with a debit card. The entire system is moving backwards. Nowhere else in the country are metro fare machines cash only. It makes no sense when everybody else is going cashless in Baltimore.

I find this app very useful for the average person to use, but the only thing I can say would make this app better is to add a widget and nfc tap function. It would be great if you could have your tickets on the main screen, and be able to pull up the ticket(s) and tap them just like a charm card. It saves the bus driver time from looking at multiple people's phones, also makes getting on bus more efficient during rush hour

I can't get the app to work on my Android. It refuses. Yes, I've turned it off and back on. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Every time I try to open it, it says there's no network connection. I've tried it on multiple wifi connections. No luck. Super unfortunate. My friends can use it, and they like it. No IT support, here, though.
