The cancellation policy isn't great. I made a mistake of booking something by one day, I realized this less than 5 minutes after booking and cancelled. I was still charged over $120 even though I cancelled in less than 5 minutes. I understand the policy, but given that there is no flexibility I can't rate it that high. Also, the app is buggy, I keep getting "oops we can't... (Load profile, my trips, etc) Poorly designed buggy app

So many women hostel only, and I can't find a way to sort them out... I get it, there's probably more money in it for the hostel but the app should help you out. It's good that gender equality don't work both ways.. If the app would just stop zooming out after you look at a hostel it would be so much easier. For example looking for a hostel in one area, u choose it, and then u go back to map view and the app zooms our again. Extremely annoying

The app doesn't let me access the chats or events despite my stay being in the 14 day window. I've contacted customer support and although they've tried to work the problem at first they've seem to have given up. This is extremely disappointing because this was a huge reason for booking through hostel world. Was hoping to make friends on my trips. I should've just booked directly with each hostel and saved money.

I love hostel world but there's a bug now appearing in the my stats graphic. It shows a random mix of the flags and more countries than I have visited in the countries graphic. Which is annoying as I liked referring to this stat page to see where I had been. Is it possible to fix this please. I tried reporting the bug but got no reply

Use this to find hostels but DEFINITELY DO NOT use them to book hostels. I had an experience where I accidentally booked for an incorrect date. Contacting the hostel directly, they said that there would be no problem at all changing it, but they were blocked from doing so because my booking was through this app. Attemping to get onto hostelworld to allow the hostel to fix it, customer service has been very difficult to get a non-automated response from and otherwise unresponsive for days.

App has so many issues. Limiting reviews to 500 characters is bad enough, but also if you go back to edit, it deletes everything you wrote after. On top of that, the app doesn't send a notification if someone replies directly to a message you wrote in its group chat.

Some of your hostels in specific regions in the United States (i.e. Hawaii, Pacific NW area, Upstate NY) have areas that needs improvement (i.e. Keeping their pets on a leash, Provide Better Accommodations for travelers who are carrying luggages (i.e. reserving rooms on the ground floor, if they do not have ramps or elevators to carry all luggages easily & safely), Coming to terms with addressing a lack of inclusion & cultural-ethnic diversity in their environments of their hostels, etc.)

the app is super buggy! also if you write to them about bugs they say HI Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, this email address is no longer in use and the email will not be responded to. For Customer Service Support please down load our app and fill in our contact form. but there's NO CONTACT FORM in the FCKNg APP!!!!
